MedtechSourcebook is an independent directory. Here is exactly how it makes money today, and how that would change.

Today

The site earns nothing. It has no advertising, no affiliate links, no paid listings and no quote-request form.
Every facility is listed because of what it has filed with FDA. No company pays to be listed, and a listing cannot be bought.
No payment affects the order of any list: facility tables are sorted by company name, and the "newest" list by date of first listing.

We plan to sell featured listings to facilities. None has been sold yet.
A featured facility would appear at the top of the facility tables, marked "Featured", so it is never mistaken for an unpaid listing.
Payment would not change what a listing says: the FDA registration data, the "FDA-registered" source and date, and the certification label stay exactly as they are for every other facility. A certificate shows as "verified" only after we have checked it on the certification body's register, whoever pays.

We plan to add a form for buyers to request quotes from listed facilities. It does not exist yet.
If it starts, facilities may pay for the requests they receive, as part of a featured listing or per request. The form will state how requests are forwarded and who pays, beside the form itself.

It does not manufacture, broker or sterilize devices, and it does not vouch for any facility listed here.
It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FDA. FDA registration does not denote FDA approval of a facility or its devices (21 CFR 807.39).
