About MedtechSourcebook

MedtechSourcebook is an independent directory of the 2,282 US facilities that list medical devices with FDA as contract manufacturers or contract sterilizers. Every listing is built from FDA's public establishment registration and device listing data (openFDA export of Oct 21, 2026) and links to FDA's own record.

Who is responsible

MedtechSourcebook is an independent data publisher and is responsible for everything on this site. It does not manufacture, broker or sterilize devices, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FDA or any company listed here.

How listings and labels work

• A facility is listed because FDA's data shows it listing at least one device under one of FDA's two contract establishment types. Nobody applies or pays to be listed.
• Every listing carries the label "FDA-registered (openFDA, export of Oct 21, 2026)": the source and the date of the record it was built from. FDA registration does not denote FDA approval of a facility or its devices (21 CFR 807.39).
• Certifications such as ISO 13485 will show as "company-stated" when they come from the company's own website, and as "verified" only after we have checked them on the certification body's register. None is verified yet, so every facility shows "Not verified".

How the site is paid for

Today the site earns nothing: it carries no advertising, no affiliate links, no paid listings and no quote requests. We plan to offer paid featured listings to facilities and, later, a quote-request form for buyers. Neither exists yet. The disclosure says how they would work and what payment would never change.

How the data is built

We check openFDA every week and rebuild the directory when FDA publishes a new export, and every page shows the date of FDA's export it was built from. Data sources lists each file and when it was downloaded. If something is wrong, please use the corrections page; for anything else, the contact page.
